The steep road into the valley (an abrupt 25 percent grade) keeps most visitors away from the valley floor unless they have four-wheel drive, are in condition for a hearty hike, or decide to ride down with an outfit such as Waipio Valley Shuttle or Waipio Valley Wagon Tour. |
