If you blink, you will surely miss the next town of Wai'ohinu. Look for the descendant of a famous monkeypod tree that was first planted here by the writer Mark Twain in 1866. You may also be able to save money by renting an accommodation from a bed and breakfast (B&B), inn, or vacation rental in the remote towns of Naalehu and Waiohinu.
