In the modern parts of town, tourists today can visit shopping centers, companies such as Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation and Big Island Candies, Pana'ewa Rain Forest Zoo, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo. But for us, the charm of Hilo is truly found in its older sections. |
