Look for the footbridge that will take you on a short walk over to nearby Coconut Island (also known as Mokuola), an ancient place of healing. The peaceful views of Mauna Kea, Hilo Bay and its hotels are beautiful from Coconut Island. Children of all ages love diving from Coconut Island's old tower into the refreshing ocean water below.
