Retrace your steps now on Highway 19 north, past Kona International Airport at Keahole, to reach the world-famous Kohala Coast resort area. The highway will take you past what seem to be continuous fields of jagged rock called a'a (evidence of historic lava flows from Hualalai volcano and Mauna Loa volcano in the 1800s).
