Petroglyphs are preserved images or figures carved into stone by ancient Hawaiians, and it is noted that over 3,000 such artistic carvings have been found in this area alone. As writers and visual artists, we find that the history and spirit of old Hawaii really seems to come to life here. It makes for a fun excursion for children and adults of all ages.
