Thoughts of money, economy, wealth and success play a large part in the psyche of your average Hong Konger. From the highest level CEO to a hardworking street vendor, everything revolves around financial intelligence and people aren't afraid to speak of money, to work with it, to pray for it, and to celebrate it. Heck, they might as well roll around in it and bathe in it. I used to loathe this obsession with wealth in the Chinese culture but I believe that with age, I've come to better understand the phenomenon.
