Hop on the MTR to the area of Sha Tin (followed by a short cab ride) and start your morning with a sweaty hike in the greenery of Lion Rock Country Park. The park is famously named after a rock formation which resembles the said lion, but it's also home to Mong Fu Shek (Amah Rock). The story behind this dead on rock formation is that a faithful wife carrying a child on her back climbs the steep hill daily to look for her fisherman husband, not knowing that he had already perished at sea. The Goddess of the Sea turned the wife and child into these boulders so that they can continue to look for their loved one forevermore.
