For those who like to wander off the beaten path, Princeville offers two hidden treasures. The first is a natural swimming pool carved into a bed of lava rocks that the locals have entertainingly named Queen's Bath. Driving towards Princeville Resort on Ka Haku Road, make a right on to Punahele Road and look for the small parking lot near the intersection with Kapiolani Road. |

A small scenic trail will take you downwards until you reach the lava shelf. Follow the shore (and probably other excited visitors) by going left until the oversized pool comes into view. Please use your better judgment and do not use Queen's Bath if the surf and the waves are crashing forcefully onto the rocks. |
