Modern-day tourists who visit the island of course have an inalienable right to eat, drink, and be merry.  Sunbathe to your heart's content because Kauai provides more beautiful sandy beaches along its 110 miles of coastline than any other major Hawaiian island. Inevitably though, the vacationer awakens with a newly acquired tan and begins to learn more about the proud and friendly people, colorful local history, and Kauai's inherent spirituality.  The island is truly a magnificent place to slow down, focus on life's little details, and think about the things that really matter.
