Connect back to Highway 50 and then look for Highway 56 which now heads north as you travel along the eastern part of the island. Have your sunblock ready because many tropical beaches dot the coastline from here to the north shore. As a rule, swimming depends on current weather and surf conditions. Please use caution and good judgment before setting foot in the ocean. |

Near mile marker 4, turn right on to the dirt road between Wailua Municipal Golf Course and the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort to reach Nukoli'i Beach Park. This peaceful 2-mile long sand beach is off the beaten path and is often deserted. Nukolii is perfect for the inner Robinson Crusoe in each of us. |
