Two of Maui's best known beaches are just down the road at Makena State Park.  Look for the 360-foot cinder cone called Pu'u Ola'i to reach Big Beach (Oneloa Beach) and Little Beach.  More than 1/2 mile long, Big Beach seems to stretch on forever and usually attracts a big crowd. On the other side of Puu Olai is the harder to access Little Beach.  Because of the difficult climb over the cinder cone, Little Beach is a favorite for nude sunbathing.  Pack your understanding and little else for an uninhibited visit to this famous Maui hot spot.
