Hidden nearby in private pineapple fields is an overlook to the world-famous big wave break known as Pe'ahi.  About twelve times a year, when the conditions are just right, courageous surfers plunge into and ride the gigantic waves.  Nicknamed "Jaws", the oversized swells are definitely not for the faint of heart. Drive left down Hahana Street and please be respectful of the fields owned by Maui Land & Pineapple Company.  For a more down-to-earth adventure, seek out an early morning cup of coffee at one of the local historic canneries.
