Continuing west is spacious Fort DeRussy Beach, fronting the U.S. Army Museum.  Walkways from here will lead you to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, an incredible 22-acre oceanfront resort. First created by the industrialist Henry J. Kaiser in the mid-1950s, the resort's "Village" concept currently supports 5 swimming pools, 22 restaurants and lounges, botanical gardens, along with wildlife such as flamingos and peacocks on the hotel's grounds.
