Adjacent to Ala Moana is Magic Island, a man-made peninsula built in 1964, and the exclusive Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. Sunset views from the Ala Moana area are spectacular. Old timers still think back to fun days on the beach at Ala Moana Park followed by delicious grinds at the nearby world-famous (and unfortunately closed) Kau Kau Korner restaurant.
