Just next door is the beautiful 7,000-square-foot home Puuopelu, built in 1862 and occupied by generations of Parker descendants. The home has kept its original Hawaiian Victorian structure, while additions have been made to it over the years. Richard Palmer Smart, a sixth-generation Parker, was a renowned actor and Broadway performer known for his work on "Bloomer Girl" and "Wonderful Town". As the home's final resident, he decorated Puuopelu with an outstanding collection of French Impressionist and Chinese art. You have to see it to believe it.
