Further upriver on Waianuenue Ave., look for a turnoff on Pe'epe'e Falls Street to reach the attractions known as Pe'epe'e Falls and Boiling Pots. If it has been dry, you can make your way downward via a small trail to see the waterfall and pools up close. |

If rainfall has been heavy though, you'll see instead water rushing downstream from Pe'epe'e Falls toward the lava rocks of Boiling Pots. The rough waters appear to be boiling, and although photogenic, it is clearly unsafe to get too close to the river. |
