Hawaii Volcanoes National Park offers hiking, camping, bird watching, and many other activities for outdoor enthusiasts. First established in 1916, the National Park is located on the flanks of active Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes. Mauna Loa is "considered the most massive mountain on Earth, occupying an area of 19,000 cubic miles." Kilauea, no slouch, is known near and far as the most active volcano on the planet.
