Ride the convenient MTR Subway or a rattling double-deck tramcar to the Sheung Wan area to begin your exploration of Hong Kong's historic Western and Mid-Levels Districts. The Western Market (North Block), built in 1906 and located at 323 Des Voeux Road is the oldest surviving market building in Hong Kong. Although it no longer functions as a food and produce market, it's worth a visit to the Western Market to take in the classic Edwardian-style architecture.
