From the main highway, turn right on Anahola Road after mile marker 13 and look for signs leading to lovely Anahola Beach Park. The surrounding area is designated Hawaiian Homelands and is home to Kauai's largest Hawaiian community. Due to a reef just off shore, swimming is considered safe here, especially on the eastern side of the beach. |

Although many of the beach users are from the local community, tourists are by no means discouraged from visiting and enjoying themselves. Nearby, you'll definitely find tourists and locals alike waiting patiently for their burgers and shakes at famous Duane's Ono-Char Burger. |
