At 957 Punchbowl Street is beautiful Kawaiaha'o Church (1842), the first Christian church built on the island. Constructed of coral and known as the "Westminster Abbey of the Pacific", this historic structure is where many of Hawaii's last monarchs worshipped. Today, the church continues to celebrate Hawaii's Royalty (Ali'i) with special Sunday services in their honor. |
