With an unemployment rate of just around 2%, Singapore has become a knowledge-based society with the world’s second most competitive economy in the World Economic Forum’s 2013 rankings.  In the 2012 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), Singapore students ranked as the second smartest in the world.
