Wak Hai Cheng Bio Temple (also known as Yueh Hai Ching Temple) is located at the corner of Phillip and Church Streets and dates back to the 1820s. The small temple’s name translates as “Temple of the Calm Sea built by the Guangdong people” and was constructed entirely with rosewood from China. |

Wak Hai Cheng Bio Temple was being restored during our last visit but given the opportunity, be sure to visit the oldest Teochew temple in Singapore. |
